     This page is here, to give explanation (more than is usual for me) to those wondering if I do in fact happen to know what I am talking about.

     The actual conditions operating Interstate commercial vehicles in America is changing. There are many reasons for these changes, and I will list a few having significant impact here:
  • the driver shortage (a chronic problem going back as far as I can remember)
  • the rising cost of diesel fuel
  • anti-idling ordinances being emplaced and enforced
  • effective monitoring done by various govt. CMV enforcement agencies
  • changes in policies by motor carriers
